Dark Mountain takes performers and listeners alike through a resolute journey through overcast mountains. This Grade 1 work is designed to introduce 3/4 meter as well as d minor. Like most of my compositions for young band, all instruments are featured on the melody at some point, including the low brass and low winds, with generous cueing.
