Program Notes
Each instrument (besides tuba) can play two of the parts:
- Line A: Flute (8va)/Oboe (8va)/Clarinet/Alto Saxophone/Trumpet/Mallets (8va)
- Line B: Flute (8va)/Oboe (8va)/Clarinet/Alto Saxophone/Tenor Saxophone/Trumpet/Horn/Mallets (8va)
- Line C: Bassoon/Bass Clarinet/Tenor Saxophone/Baritone Saxophone/Horn/Trombone/Euphonium
- Line D: Bassoon/Bass Clarinet/Baritone Saxophone/Trombone/Euphonium/Tuba
- Drum
I arranged Up on the Housetop in response to COVID-19 as an adaptable arrangement for band. The grace notes in the work can be omitted. The trombone can play staccato quarter notes rather than eighth notes if needed.
