This work reflects my vision of light breaking into a sanctuary, filling it, and intensifying. Have you ever experienced a light so bright it was terrifying? Light is powerful, beautiful, and at times even – violent. These characteristics are communicated at different places in the piece. (With each ray of light comes a varying reflection, so many times after a musical figure a response occurs that may sound somewhat “offset” and like a shadow.)
