This article has been updated with embedded videos that include three online lessons on Listening, Score Study and Composition Planning in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. It works well as a supplement for ensembles who either have performed or intended to perform my "In Two Places", but can also be used for other educational purposes as well. This summer 2020, we are excited to offer the third annual Chamber Music Composition Program, hosted at the Tarrant County College Northeast campus with Mid Cities Brass Quintet. Both myself and Dr. Uriah Rinzel will be returning as the Composition Faculty! As of this writing, COVID-19 is currently a global pandemic, significantly effecting all of our daily lives with most counties in the U.S. under a shelter in place order. Our program this year will therefore be a "pandemic" themed program and will proceed on-ground or completely online, depending on the mandates set forth by the state.

Well, I’m finally back from my unintentional hiatus from the blog. 2019 has proven to be a pretty incredible year so far; in large part due to me becoming a mom for the first time, as well as my current most popular work for band, "In Two Places" receiving an increasing number of performances. The new dichotomy present in my life – between being a parent and an artist, leaves me once again feeling like I am in two places!
