2018 Concert Band Consortium

In 2018, I have decided to create a project that will potentially allow every student in nine band programs, each containing three bands or less, the opportunity to participate in a premiere. I love to interact throughout my creative process (which certainly does not end when I write a final bar line!), and so I will create a closed Facebook group for directors in each participating program, where I will post progress video updates of my sketches, as well as ask for feedback and suggestions! I will also provide one online rehearsal for each program, so that I can interact with the students and they can see the face behind the music. All schools and directors will have their names printed on the score. The pieces will be written in a style suitable for State PML lists, in my unabashed attempt to create something that might be a worthy addition. For information on my findings on Grade 1 Band Music from the Texas PML, please check out my article: link

Update 5/31/2018:

The consortium has reached nine band programs, and is now capped and closed. See the list of participants at the bottom of this page.
